Greetings in the Name of Jesus Christ and our Lord.
“Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” (2 Corinthians 9:15). The Corinthians gave gifts to God’s people resulting in praise and thankfulness to the Lord. When we have the opportunity to give to others, we experience the joy of knowing the God will be praised because of it. Our God knows the needs of His people and He blesses us to be a blessing to others.
On March 8th, Linda and I drove to the Rancho Sordo Mudo school (RSM) in Baja California, Mexico. I preached at their church on Sunday, the 9th about the Parable of the Sower, and I used the objects that helped the Deaf children illuminate more clearly.
After church, we went to another Deaf church in Ensenada, about 30 minutes west from the RSM to visit the Deaf people. Pastor Carlos preached the Word of God that inspired us. After church, we joined Pastor Carlos and some friends to a restaurant and had a blessed fellowship together.
On March 13th, a group of 8 people from our North Creek Deaf church arrived at the RSM and stayed there for a week. So, we helped paint, clean up the yards, clean up the school supply room, clean up the kitchen, cook, etc.
On Friday, the 17th, we gave dramas to teach the children two subjects: “The Parable of the Sower” and “Two Choices”. All the children enjoyed involving in the one of the drama “Two Choices”, and they learned to cast the sins written on pieces of papers onto Jesus (played by Eugene) who was hung on the cross and each child received the beautiful cross craft. Then, we served the children some various ice creams with toppings. They had a good time.
One Sunday we in the group went to Deaf church in Ensenada. We performed a drama, and Eugene preached about the Parable of the Sower which touched many in the Deaf congregation. After church, they served a very delicious lunch, and we had a wonderful time of fellowship.
After the North Creek Deaf church group left on March 20th, Linda and I moved to a hotel in Ensenada so that we could continue to minister to the Deaf people for two more days. We were asked to go to Deaf school in Ensenada to teach the middle and high school students about how important the education was. Then later at night we had a good conversation with Pastor Carlos at Starbucks.
We, including our North Creek Deaf church group, were so blessed that God gave us an opportunity to minister and encourage the children, and the staff at the RSM and the Deaf church in Ensenada as well.
We want to thank you for your faithfulness in financial supports and prayers. You might not realize that your supports really sustain God’s work in Mexico and cause them sense the Love of God and learn of Jesus Christ, our Savior, too. God bless you!
Continuing in His Service,
Eugene & Linda
